no that's not bad for the car . putting the gear back in when the engine is on is bad unless you have matched the engine speed with the correct gear. this can be done correctly and is most often by transport truck drivers. Over all though fleets that is large truck companies prefer to have the clutch used for all shifting.

It is not bad for it, but it is a bad idea to pull it out of gear to coast down a hill, or something like that. I always sit at a stop light with the tranny in neutral. No problems here.

Putting you car in neutral takes all the strain off the transmission and will never be bad for a car.

no but if you dont hold the clutch in(manual trans) or brake(automatic trans) you could strip gears
