I have a tiny lump on the side of my breast. It is the size of about a quarter-half the size of a raisin. I am only 27 years old. What can this be. I'm not too scared about it. Just thought i'd ask. So what sort of advice do you all have for me?

It might be nothing...however, the only person who can tell you this is the doctor. I would STRONGLY recommend getting in and getting a manual breast exam, and make sure they refer you out for either a breast-sonogram or a mammogram. 27 is NOT too young to get breast cancer......

I am 26yrs. old, and i found a lump the size of a golf ball in my left breast. I went to the doctor and had a mammogram. This is the only way to determine where to go from there. Unfortunately, mine came back bad. This Thursday, I have an appt. at the Knoxville Comprehensive Breast Center for a biopsy. U need to get it checked out, it could be just a cyst. I do highly advise u to get it checked out. As soon as possible.

My mom HAS breast cancer and I can tell you first hand that if you are concerned with an unusual lump then you need to got to your doctor/clinic and ask for a mammogram. No matter how old you are. You cannot be too safe. Breast cancer grows rapidly and wether it is or not you don't want to waste any time.

Is it rounded with uniform edges or serrated edges. Mostly rounded edges in non-cancerous while serrated edges may be not. Is there any inflammation, pain, changes in the skin over it? If it does then may be it is. But mostly at your age it is non-cancerous. It maybe only a benign fibroma which also must be romoved. Anything that is lumpy anywhere in the body whether cancerous or not should be remove. Also, do breast self examination. Include inspecting the armpits for any lumps.
God bless on you.
