Actually, most graduate programs abide by the guidlines set by their governing associations (The Council of Graduate Schools, the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools, etc.), and make all notifications by April 15.

Some programs elect to notify some students sooner, especially when they are offering awards to top students whom they want to encourage to seriously consider their program.

i might want to call the Admissions place of work at UChicago and ask what it truly is about. they are going to have the capacity to allow you to comprehend in case you owe a fee. in the experience that they could't allow you to comprehend, they are going to probable move you to the corporate place of work. Sounds shady to me.
