that a person has a terrible problem that needs to be corrected/solved. ex. a person with an addiction to gambling has a money on his/back. alcoholic, drug addict, anorexic, bulimic,
cutter, smoker, workaholic, etc.
once the problem is resolved---the money's off your back.
