I love the books by Tom Clancy, John Grisham, Julie Garwood, Nora Roberts, and many others. I also reccomend reading Gone With The Wind and Scarlett. You could also ask your local library if they have the book 1001 Books You Should Read Before You Die. It gives you alot of books that is recommended you read. You can just read through and find ones interesting to you. If they don't have it they can borrow it from another library.

The works of Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky have very strong Christian themes running through them. Although they're not about religion in itself, more about the way it can affect people and the decisions they make.
