There are a lot of things that can cause a miss period.
01) stress
02) weight gain or loss
03) lack of sleep
04) diet change
05) PREGNANCY
06) drug use
07) working out or active in sports
08) alcohol
09) recent cold of flu
10) cervical or ovarian cancer or problems
And many more. the above are the most common reason. If you think you are pregnant and give it a couple more weeks and see a Doctor or wait till next month to be skipped and then see a doctor if a period don't show. Just make sure you get your yearly pap smear and blood work.
Best of luck~

Usually a women only skips her period if she's pregnant or has a disease like i do which is called Ovarian Sync Disease. It's common. If I don't take the pills it'll mess me up and cause me to Skip periods and that's why I have to take the pill because it keeps mine regularly but I only have it because it runs in my family but that's the only thing that i know that would allow someone to skip periods other then pregnancy.

Absolutely can. Yes, skip the 'spacer/reminder' pills (the last 7 in the pack) and immediately start on the next pack. Totally safe. THere is a different pill called 'Seasonale', that does exactly that. Has 3 months worth of pills and no spacer pills at all. You have a period once every 'season'. Very cool.

Yes. The older you get, the more flukey your cycles will get. I have skipped maybe 4 since I got off the pill over 10 years ago. I'm over 30.

Women skip periods ALL the time...often for no real reason, but you should get it checked out.
Stress, weight gain, weight loss, many things can cause it.
