I am still recovering from a radial head fracture that occurred a few months ago. I used a sling for the first week and neoprene elbow brace thereafter. I had a non-displaced compound fracture, so I had to be careful not to knock the head out of place.

There shouldn't be any problem with using an ace bandage, neoprene brace or even a splint, as long as you are keeping up with any range of motion exercises prescribed for you, and as long as you are not doing anything to displace the head of the bone. If you need more support, you could call your docs office and ask them if the doc could write you a prescription to get fitted for a brace from a professional medical supplier.

Leave the slings on for now. The most important feature of the fractures is where they occurred on the radial head. From the sound of it they did not occur on the articulating surface, which is important for the health of the joint. If you suffered the fractures within the last two days they might be waiting for the immediate post-traumatic swelling to decrease before deciding what course to take. If the fractures were more than "simple" non-complicated ones they would have gone to greater lengths to immobilize your elbows than placing you in a sling.
