ethiopia has her own calander and will be celebrating her only millinium in 8 months does any one know that?
i want to know what you guys thing about it.

Yeah! It will take place on Sept. 11th. However, (just as it was somewhat of an argument with everyone that follows the " Julian Calendar"), some are saying that because there was never a year "zero" that the "true" millinium will not happen until 2001.

If this is the case then, (because of the Ethiopian calander leap year), the millinium will not happen until Sept "12" of NEXT year.

But I guess it all depends on which side of te fence you want to sit on. :)

yes they are 8 years 8 months 8 days and 6 hours behind the european calender.And will celebrate the millenium on spt 11 this year. at the moment they are in the year of 1999. I am a secretary in one of the ethio embassys thats why I know.Also there is another thing they have 13 months instead of 12. but the 13 th month is only 5 days. that is for the months that have 31 days.
