Is your current school accredited? Do they state (usually on their website) that "not all credits may transfer..."?

If you really want to be a nurse, your best bet right now is to go ahead and contact a school of nursing near you and discuss your situation with them. They can advise you on which, if any, of your courses will transfer.

You won't necessarily need to be in school for four more years if you want to be an RN. It's possible that you can get your RN with a BS degree in less (if some of your credits transfer), or you could go to a school that grants Associates degrees in nursing. That'd only take you 2 years.

Start with your local community college. See if they offer a nursing program.

Also look into your local state school for the same.
