I have been researching it, and have not been able to find out why it was signed there. Please help me, thank you have a good day.

Because that is where the center of government was at the time. There was no Washington D.C. The Continental Congress met in Philadelphia to draft the Constitution.

At the time of the Constitutional Convention there was no central seat of government, each state governed itself. Because of conflicts between the laws of the individual states, some of the revolutionary leaders clandestinely organized the Constitutional Convention.

It's likely B. Franklin's being a Philadelphian had much to do with the location - he was internationally famous at the time, much respected. And had grown older. They may have held the convention there out of respect for him.

It was signed there because that's where the constitutional convention was. In 1787 travel was difficult. The city of Philly was mid-point between the north and south, and so was chosen as the best all around location.
