I gave birth 5 weeks ago and had sex 1 week ago how long will it take for the a pregnancy test to show up.

I believe the earliest you can test if you are unsure when your next period would be due is 19 days after the last time you had sex. So you've got about a 2 week wait.

A pregnancy test this soon after giving birth could be unreliable, since your hormone levels may not yet be back to normal. You could get a false positive. A friend of mine had an extra pregnancy test at home and used it a few weeks after her baby was born, and it showed that she was pregnant, even though she hadn't had sex. I wouldn't trust the home test. Have the doctor do the test to find out for sure.

sex before 6 weeks is very dangerous. There is a chance you could be pregnant. I would at my 6 weeks check up talk to my Doctor make sure you didn't hurt your self more down there or cause any problems and ask for a pregnancy test. While your there why no.

You could get pregnant right away. The test should give results within 24hrs, but you would want to re-test or have a blood test again in a month.

You maniac you...probably about another week or two. Let your Dr. know at your six week check up .They may give you a blood test. Good Luck!!

first of all.. ARE YOU CRAZY????? your body is not nearly ready to do it again, it take s a year to recover.... You can get prego again even if you breast feed. It can take 3-4 weeks to show. Even if you have light period you could be prego, I have 9 week old, I couldnt even imagine that I could be prego again.

You had unprotected sex and just had a little one? Your body needs to heal and and....you need to bond with the little one yet....Prayers...doc will let you know for more visits...
