Is it unethacal for my company to change my commission structure because I have built a big back log of orders? In 2006 I had a very good sales year and built a big back log of orders for shipment in 2007. Now they changed my commssion structure to reduce the amount of commission I will be paid. My sales target number have remained the same as the other Sales Managers, However my commission structure was the only one that changed because of the large back log. IS a company allowed to do this?

Companies can do anything they want. What they're doing may be legal, but it's certainly not ethical. If you are as good in sales as it appears, go to work for the competition or start your own company. Good luck.
