sounds like the computer is crashing. your internet connection is probably fine - its just the computer's ability to translate the web pages that is screwing up. restart. oh and don't pay attention to the **** above - he still breastfeeds.

It could be your wireless connection not giving you as good a signal as it could. My neighbours have foil backed plasterboard in their house and can't get a good signal. They had this issue but I've moved the router to the same room as the PC (they had a phone socket) and now it is fine.
I also find that as more of the USA starts using the web, the slower the Internet becomes!
You should have some sort of monitoring software on your PC for the wireless connections. Check that it is showing 'Excellent'.

Could be the wireless connection! Objects in the way - walls??
Could be the site you want to visit is down or is taking to long to respond - timing out maybe, if not on broadband!
Check your firewall settings - make sure not set to high!
There could be any number of reasons to be honest but I suspect it is not your computer! We have all been there with the unable to connect scenario!
Usually the next time you check the site after shut down and restart, it responds OK!
Wireless can be tetchy sometimes - mine is a pain at times!

Your probably experiencing some sort of a firewall block or lag. If your using McAfee privacy service you might see some pop-ups that let you know your content is being scanned for viruses before you get it. But with any wireless service you'll want to make sure you have enabled a path through the firewall for your browser. This usually happens automatically with IE 6.0 and above but if you haven't already upgrade to IE 7.0 and check your Windows and your Antivirus firewall settings. Also make sure you have your Wireless Zero services enabled in your windows administrative tools. (Services) Hope that helps.

I get this error when I try and connect in a particular room at one location I use.
One cause *could be* lack of signal strength at that area.
to test this, move your laptop (or PC wireless aerial) closer to the wireless router.
You could also try rebooting your wireless router - simply unplug it, or power it off, and power it on again

It is probably not your connection, you would get a "sever not found" error if you didn't have a connection. Most likely it is that your web browser (i.e. internet explorer) is having problems running. Try restarting, or reinstalling. If all else fails, call customer support.

the problem is quite simple-the server of the site you are trying to view is the problem not your pc-they are probably overloaded or
experiencing problems and that is why
it has happened to the best of us
