If you still have the booklet that came with the garage door opener, you can use the directions in it and get the job done right and quickly. If you don't and the original booklet, check with your Sears store to see if it is still a current model, you may either be able to read it in the store or order one through the parts department.

Since the programming is basically the same for all models, it should not be difficult. The problem lies in the subtle differences that your model may have that could prove difficult.

You should have a series of small, sliding dip switches located on the receiver of the opener (up where the light bulb is) and a matching set inside the remotes, usually in the battery compartment.
You pick whatever pattern you want (down, up, down, down, up, whatever). As long as the same pattern is on the remotes and the opener, you'll be good to go.
