...giving me the jitters, making me VERY nervous etc.--but I just love the stuff and forget decaff--it stinks--any tips on how to quit and should it be done gradually or cold turkey?

Do it graduallly if you don't want headaches. It can help to mix decaff and regular coffee 50/50 for a while.

Caffiene does increase your heart rate and blood pressure, so it's a good idea to back off if you're getting the jitters. Why not move down to tea instead? It has some caffiene but not so much, especially if you don't let it brew too long. Coffee gives me the jitters too, but tea never does, and it's got lots of healthy antioxidants too. It also comes in many flavors, so if you don't like one, try another.

Good luck! Bring something for those withdrawl headaches. They'll stop in a couple of days.

I did it cold turkey, you will feel bad for a few days, headaches and stuff. I was getting anxiety attacks from it and you really don't want those they are very frightening!! I went to decaf and you really can't tell much of a difference once you get used to it, Stay with the higher quality decaf like Maxwell House-it is very good. I dont' even miss the caffeine at all now

Do you REALLY want to stop?? Or stop the jitters??
If you drink coffee~ make sure you eat too. Most people have no hunger when they drink coffee. (This happens to me) But I find that when I eat something shortly after wards, my body tends to absorb the food and lessen the jitters. TRY that for a bit and see if you notice a difference.
