Did the step mother have a name besides STEPMOTHER?

The characters in fairytales rarely have names as they are personifications of character traits and not individual people. By keeping the characters as loose as possible it was easier to make children believe them.
Fairytales were originally used as morality tales and to prepare children for growing up. "Beauty and the Beast" prepared little girls for being married off to men they had never met before while "Little Red Ridinghood" warned them to "not stray off the path" in case they were seduced and taken advantage of by "the big bad wolf".
This is also why there are so many versions of each farytale. They have evolved to fit into each culture. So in short: no. The stepmother in Cinderella does not have a name unless the particular version you are reading or looking at is a modern retelling. In this case the author will have named her (f.ex. Lady Tremaine in the Disney animation)

Her name was "Lady Tremaine" though if you ask me, she was no lady...
I actually work with a woman who's real name is Cinderella...
I think her mother had a Disney fetish.

Every movie has changed her name depending on which one you are watching. If you are talking about the original, no I dont believe she had any other name.

it is a very old story, versions of it exist in every country
