I recently started swimming and have really dry itchy skin. Do any swimmers out there know of a really good lotion to help with this.

I know exactly what you mean! Your dry skin is a reaction to all the chlorine in the water. A really great moisturizing lotion is from a brand called NU SKIN. Also, if you have sensitive skin, you could try Swiss Formula. They have nice, unscented, Aloe Vera lotion that doesn't aggravate the skin. One more place, called Basin (www.basin.com) has shampoo (not sure if they have soap) that is made specially for swimmers to rinse the chlorine away, shortening the time the chlorine has to sit on your body.
Good Luck!!

When I was younger I was on a swim team little over 5 years. Always rinse when you get out of the pool, simple soap Dove, for your hair they have shampoo made for that but I forget what it is called. You can get it at a sports store that sales swim gear. When you use lotion use basic lotion no smell. Also as you shower, either after the pool or at home bathing. Before you get out cool the water off don't get out hot and wet, cool the skin off and then pat dry or air dry the best as passable. Drink plenty of water and cut back on pop.

That should work. OIL is awesome! I prefer baby oil Johnson and Johnson it works great. and very delicate to the skin.

swimming is great...good luck with that~

Yea I have that problem too! Its awful isnt it? Use a facial and body lotion everytime after you get out of the shower. The lotion seals in the moisture from the shower and keeps your skin hydrated. Also, Keep putting extra lotion on periodically, whenever you start to feel dry. Dont use a scented lotion because that tends to irritate chlorinated skin. Good Luck and I hope you find something that works!
