how do i get my ip adress from my computer? and is it possible to get the ip adress from my computer if i'm on another computer?

If you want your public IP address then yes visit www.ipchicken.com as suggest above, your public IP is the IP that everyone else sees. if you have a network of computers set up in your home they will normally all have a Network IP. to view this one go to the start menu click run and type in: cmd a console window ill open and type in ipconfig this will display your network IP and if you are on a router the routers IP.

click start -> run -> type cmd
You'll see a command prompt come up. Type ipconfig and hit enter
There you will see your IP.

To get the IP if you're at a different machine - same steps but instead of typing ipconfig, you type ping (your machines name)
ex. ping computerx
This will only work if you are on the same network.
