And can someone tell me, who are the students that was sorted into two houses in the Harry Potter books?

Is it because that a student was sorted into both Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff argued about this?

Helga Hufflepuff and Rowena Ravenclaw's friendship is never described as failing. As stated on the Harry Potter Lexicon, "Rowena was dear friends with Helga Hufflepuff." I would list all the known Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff students, but that would take a while. So please see the link below. To see which students are in which houses, click on their crests.

Thier freindship didnt really fail. The four were all freinds Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw were very close and Slytherin and Gryffindor were very close but they were all four freinds. Gryffindor and Slytherin had a falling out over admiting muggleborn wizards into the school Then Slythern left the school but the other three still remained freinds. There have been many students sorted into thsoe two houses. For example Luna Lovegood isa Ravenclaw and Ernie Macmillion (sp?) is a hufflepuff. They dont list all the students in the different houses though, just some fo them.

I don't think their friendship failed. From what I've gathered, Gryffendor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff managed to stay friends. The competativeness that the students have is a (mostly) healthy team-oriented thing. But they don't hate each other like they all seem to pretty much hate the folks in Slytherin. Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff probably have a special rivalry like the one between Gryffindor/Slytherin because they are kind of each others' equals.

Offhand, I can't think of everyone who is sorted into those houses, but I know a few:

Ernie, Hannah, Cedric, Susan & Justin are a few of the people listed who are in Hufflepuff.

Cho, Padma and Luna are three of the people sorted into Ravenclaw.

To get more names, read the chapter when Harry & Co. are sorted, look at the listing of people present at the first DA meeting, read the chapter where Harry overhears the group of Hufflepuffs talking about him in the library in Chamber of Secrets. Of all the books, Chamber of Secrets and Goblet of Fire offers some good listings of who is in which house, just because of the nature of the story.

All three of those passages have listings of people and which houses they're in. They certainly aren't all there, but it's a start. Otherwise, it's simply dropped in in everyday passages.

Also, there are books that offer stats, summaries, and everything Harry Potter related, and many of them offer a listing of students, descriptions, and known facts (including what houses they're in).
