Try to find a plastic container to put the bottle in. That way it won't be able to press against anything else.

I am a perfume freak, so what I do is I put a piece of masking tape around the top of the bottle to keep it sealed and then i place it in a zip lock bag and tape that tight around the baggie, that way the perfume doesnt break nor does it leak all over.

I usually tape the perfume top, put it in a little travel bag, wraped in two wash cloths. Then I make sure I put it on top of clothes (cushioned) and i put my travel bag in a zip lock bag (just in case). I haven't had a spill yet. And its just a little bit of tape on the perfume top, to make sure it stays in place....

i go crazy with perfumes and i often travel.
just make sure you keep your perfumes in enclosed compartments that is fitted just for your perfumes. some luggages and bags are designed with secured compartments for things that are fragile.
i normally put my perfumes in a different bag that is fitted for my perfumes.
if you dont have those bags, just wrap them with bubble wraps. that is to be MORE careful.
hope this helps! :)

I usually keep the cap on it. Usually it goes in my check bag, but when I do keep a small bottle in my purse, I make sure it is standing up in a corner and that it is sorta snug in there to prevent it falling on the side and leaking. =)
If your talking plane travel - remember that now you have to put it in a zip-lock bag also!
