If at all possible stop doing whatever it is that makes them rough.
The other solution is to go to the chemist buy cotton gloves they are special thin gloves then at night smear your dry hands with vaseline the regular stuff then wear the gloves, in the morning wash them with a mild medicated soap such as E-Lave also available at the chemists and then put on a good quality moisturiser like E-45. Try to keep your hands out of water and when you wash them make sure you dry them thoroughly and deapply the e-45. You wont look like a woos because lots of men get dermatitis so you can say thats what its for if any tuff guys ask!!

A PH balanced or fragrance free soap like Dove or Simple and follow it with either Hemp handcream from the Bodyshop or Neutrogena Norweigen Formula hand cream........both are great and you can pick the Neutrogena one up from Boots and Superdrugs and some independent chemists.

I know the perfect soap for that, Olive Soap is the best one for dry skin, You can find it at bodyshop and places with herbal or natural products..
I suggest you try it cause olive is known for having a very good moisturizing effect. You can also try Olive lotion for hands, and remember always to dry your hands really good after washing them, cause the skin is sensitive and when you don't dry it well it will dry from the air around you and that makes the skin very dry, especially in the winter when the air is cold..
Good Luck to you!

There is this product that is called Bag Balm. It comes in a square shaped green tin. It is originally a product for farmers to use on cows but has been released to the public to use. It is a very skin nourishing product and works great just about every wheres. I use it on my lips and elbows. My father is a mechanic and has often come home with callus on his hands and cures them with this stuff. I also once read in a magazine that Cameron Diaz uses this product on her lips. Try it out.

Use any cream that the ladies use on their faces. E45 is a good one but most of the Nivia products will do the trick.

try washing your hands with dove and using vaseline's hand & nail lotion 3-4 times a day, - usually works...
If you need it asap, get cotton gloves, before u go 2 bed, cover your hands in thick moisuriser like cocoa butter (loads, don't rub it in, just cake it on), put gloves on and leave overnight. Wash off in morning and dry hands thouroghly then rub in vaseline lotion sparingly.
