What is your definition of "true love?"
What most people define as love is a complex system mainly based on oxytoxin and what it does to the mind. This lasts as long as it takes to make a being reproduce successfully and/or ensure the offspring and mother can defend themselves (usually falls off after 7 years tops!).
Physical attraction will decline throughout the years as we are programmed to be attracted to those who are usually fertile (ie young). "True love" may not really exist, but true companionship, loyalty, and friendship may.

I met this girl and it was love at first sight. I wanted to marry her. Her parents agreed but my parents did not. With the help of some sympathetic relative I could get married. we vibe perfectly. It is ten years now, and we still love each other. We are very much attracted to each other. The very moment I set my eyes on her I become hot. The moment I touch her she too becomes hot. We stay together as nuclear family, so we make love all day.
From this 10 years of loving and living I can extrapolate that love can be successful throughout life, provided we really love and are willing to give without expecting too much in return.

Yes, but it doesn't have a lot to do with astronomy imho. But if you believe that the answer lies in the stars, keep your head up high! ;)
