If the participants are both into it, nothing wrong at all.

BDSM:
Bondage, Discipline, Domination & Submission

Many of the specific practices in BDSM are those which, if performed in neutral or nonsexual contexts, could be considered unpleasant, undesirable, or abusive. For example, pain, physical restraint and servitude are traditionally inflicted on persons against their will and to their detriment. In BDSM, however, these activities are engaged in with the mutual consent of the participants, and typically for mutual enjoyment. (Any "consent" may or may not amount to legal consent and represent a defense to criminal liability for any injuries caused.)

BDSM is bondage. It can range from being tied up and blindfolded, to being led around by a collar, to being spanked. It is the same for married couples as it is for single people. If you are an open person...go to a sex store and ask. Usually the people there are very informative. Otherwise search it.

The acronym refers to bondage and sadomasochism. While bondage fans run the gamut from light bondage (silk hankies used for blindfolds, some light spanking) to the really serious stuff (whips and chains and safety words -- oh, my!), not every couple who is into BSDM are single.

A lot of people introduce a little pain give and take into their marriages in an attempt to spice things up after trying every other kind of vanilla (ordinary) sex.

Bondage refers to one person tying another person up to where their control over what happens to them is partially or completely taken away from them. Despite appearances, the person tied up is normally the one in charge of the scenario. Bondage can sometimes include role playing and safety words (an unusual word spoken to immediately end the scenario).

S&M is giving and taking pain. Sadism means giving pain, masochism means taking it. The pain can be anything from mild discomfort (like a little paddling on the behind) to borderline torture (sharp, pointy things stuck in uncomfortable places).

BDSM isn't specific to marriage.

BDSM (Bondage/Discipline/Sadomasochism) is a particular area of human sexuality. There are a distinct number of people who find that these activities enhance their sexual and romantic relationships. It's also referred to as kinky sex by many of the practitioners.

Specifically:
B&D Bondage and Dominance
D&S Dominace and Submission
S&M Sadism and Masochism

Consent is considered ALWAYS a part of this. The BDSM community goes to great lengths to emphasize this to it's practitioners.

The wikipedia link will yield a much better explanation than I can give, because it's not something I've ever gotten into.

BDSM is bondage and Sado- Masochism. It is basically tieing or handcuffing or otherwise restraining a sex partner and hurting them for pleasure. It is usually fairly mild pain, not abuse and participants find it arousing. It is done both within and outside of marriage.

Just want to let you know that the term involves many gradients, it starts with feeling good ordering other people around (or receiving the orders), and it ends with giving and receiving (or withholding) extreme sensations.

Some people's partners are friends, some people pay for the privilege, and the luckiest people are married to someone who feels comfortable providing the opposite of what they want (need) to do.

Bondage & Discipline (B&D)
Domination & Submission (D&S)
Sadism & Masochism (or Sadomasochism) (S&M)

it's not bad, it's just a personal thing
some people make it a lifestyle, others use it as sexual enhancement within a relationship.
