it is still Active!!! and it may blow it's Top one more Time in the near Future!!!

It is still very much active.

It is right now currently in a state of eruption though not how it erupted back in 1980.

(it is quite cloudy there today but this is the snowy/rainy season for Washington state)

Just because a volcano is not explosively erupting does not mean it is extinct. Most of the cascades are considered active.

This link will show you the eruptive history of the cascade volcanos to give you some inidication of how often these volcanos have erupted in the fairly recent geological past.

Dormant does not equal extinct.
All the volcanoes of the Cascades are still alive...

There was thought that there was an eruption last month, but what was seen was condensing moisture, not an ash plume...

ITS ALIVE. it isn't "extinct" yet. it only erupted 20 yrs ago. so it could erupt any day now. ooooooooo u never know.

ps it is not extinct, just dormant.
