I am asking this as my boyfriend is bald and following a haircut at the weekend and asked why he is not charged less.

Not always, they should but they don't and yes... the manicures go by fingers.

Yep, Because I'm stupid i get a discount when i go to the cinema and don't understand the film.
Men who are semi-bald don't go to the hairdressers because they are so fed up with people critising or taking the piss out of them
