i bought a new isuzu pick up last april 2006.

i recently crossed to highway which a rough road with a speed of 30-35 mph. for more than 8 miles and causes a vibrations to vehicle.

now my question is, why water separator warning light sometimes blink up when i crossed to a rough road? but when i reached a concrete highway, it doesnt blink up at all. why is this so?

The light tells you you have water in the separator. There is not enough to connect the sensor on level ground, but when vehicle is rocking it does. Check your manual and see if it will dump the water automatically at a certain level or if you have to do it manually. I know some aftermarket separators are automatic, and have a heater in them that is thermostatically controlled to keep it from freezing.

I assume you have a diesel bacause I have never seen a water separator light on a gas engine.anyway locate the oil separator filter and drain it if it has a pet cok on the bottom.Or get it replaced if not.That's what they are there for.I highly doubt you have an electrical problem.

like the second guy said it sounds like you are building water in the seperator, drain it and all will be fine.
