there were 3 nails in the tire and it is not repairable. so it needs a new tire. i was wondering if i had to pay for it or if the dealership pays for it? it is an 06 g35 with 5000miles on it. still under warranty.

Tires is considered wear item and is NOT under warranty.

Looks like you're paying for a tire. It's under $100 any way unless there's soemthing really special about that tire.

The tires and battery are not under the factory warranty. These items carry their own warranty. Since the problem is not one of workmanship it is highly probable that you will have to pay. Maybe your dealer will be kind and step up to the plate on this one, but don't count on it.

You probably signed something saying the car was under your insurance. The dealer may go ahead and fix it though, since it's not a real big thing. [not enough $$ to be an insurance claim] They may be able to return the tire to the manufacturer if it's new.

The Dealer is responsible unless you signed some sort of papers saying you would be.

If it's still under waranty, it SHOULD BE free of charge for replacement to YOU.
