I have been watching The L Word since the first season and I LOVE the show. However, are any of them really gay?? I know 'Shane' is really gay. But what about 'Alice', 'Bette', 'Tina', 'Jenny', 'Helena' and I am assuming 'Max' is gay, well cause its obvious. But who is gay?? And what about the new comers? I know Cybill isnt gay. But who IS???

Yea i love this show too...kinda a L Word junkie ;-) So here's your info...
Shane (Katherine Moennig) has never given a yes or no answer as to whether she is a lesbian. I think she likes to keep em guessing. (my guess is that she's bi though)
Carmen (Sarah Shahi) is not a lesbian.
Bette (Jennifer Beals) is not a lesbian but she IS really Bi-racial.
Tina (Laurel Holloman) is bisexual with a tendency to be in long relatnshps with men and have a girl or 2 on the side.
Alice (Leisha Hailey) is a lesbian and she use to date K.D Lang
Helena (Rachel Shelley) is straight but says she's open to the possibility...so maybe she's bi-curious.
Max/Moira (Daniella Sea) is a lesbian.
Jenny (Mia Kirshner) is bisexual with a strong preference for women.
Kit (Pam Grier) has had bisexual experiences, but doesnt use labels. (lol)
Phyllis (Cybil Sheppard) has also had same sex experiences but does not label herself BI.
Rose (the new black woman) is a lesbian.
Papi (Shanes so-called competition) not too sure abut her yet but God i hope so :-)
The deaf woman (i think her name is Marley) now identifies as a lesbian.

Katherine Moening (Shane): I'm not sure, but she is at least bisexual
Leisha Halley (Alice): she is lesbian
Mia Kirshner (Jenny): Is Bisexual
Jennife Beals (Bette): Straight
Laurel Holloman (Tina): Bisexual, but she is married and has a kid (her pregnancy is real in the second season)

Well, Shane is and so is Alice. The girl that plays Max dates this musician named B itch in real life. And that's all I know. Unfortunately beautiful, hot Sara Shahi (who played Carmen) is straight.

well Jennifer beals(Bette) outed Katherine Moenning(Shane) on and interview for some magazine so yes Shane is a real lesbian, also Leisha Heiley(Alice) is also a real lesbian, those are the only ones i know.

I think "Shane" is actually straight.
