Wow, that's a complicated answer. First, no it is not a blurry spot. It depends on what type of MRI and why they ordered one. In general, they look at all the structures images, including bones, soft tissues, nerves and blood vessels. They look for things that are abnormal. broken bones, compressed nerves, clogges blood vessels or tumors or lesions. In general, they know what your neck is supposed to look like on the MRI, so when they see something different, they know something is up.

Perhaps a tumor ,cyst or bone growth .It would be formed .
Too many things that would look different .And yet could be nothing at all . Leave the diagnosing up to the doctor not here .
Best of luck .

it depends why you are having a mri. is it due to an injury or is it an age factor? i can say in my case due to age and repetious movement at my past employer of 12 yrs., i have degenerative disc disease. what happens is due to disc space loss the discs compress and pinch the nerves causing other problems and pain and/or tingling or numbness in the hands and feet. whatever your case may be you need to discuss this with your doctor so that you both can determine what treatment you need.
