I am from a small Idaho town and I found it was pretty easy to drive there... Watch out for the one way streets they can be a little tricky... Park in a paid parking garage near Pier 39 and take trolly cars or cabs, it is so much easier and a lot more fun.

Depends on where you want to be. Parking can be really difficult in the most popular parts of town for visitors, unless you don't mind paying what could be a lot to park in parking lots. Driving itself isn't so hard, unless you're driving a stick.... There are a lot of hills including some pretty steep ones.

it depends...some places are easy to drive through, but some are not...no matter where, parking on the street is terrible. you'd probably rather go for parking lots if u drive in SF
