I do think he deserved the death penalty, and if that's there way of doing it then so be it. My only issue with it was the heckling and yelling. But my family wasn't tortured so I can't judge their feelings. Personally, I thought it was going to happen more "professionaly", I've never seen an american death happen, but I don't think there is yelling like that that happens.

In case you didn't know... The execution had nothing to do with Americans, it was ruled by a judge who was NOT American, but rather Iraqi, the United States turned Saddam Hussein over to Iraq after he was captured. So stop talking about how Bush couldn't live with just putting Saddam in prison. it wasn't his choice anyways.
"Saddam's execution was 100 percent Iraqi and the American side did not interfere."
Edit: Yes! It's justified!

christ, how stupid must one be to give such an answer as "yes" or "no" to this question? of course it's justified, but that doesn't make it right! it is justified from some people's point of view, and i'm NOT going to comment on bush and his reasons, on the american public or the whole hate issue with this.
i'm only going to say that hanging the president of a nation like a train-robber in a western movie is strongly pointed at all the yahoos in your wonderful country just waiting to get a chance at feeling like a sheriff in his back yard.
Expressing rage over something you know nothing about (or only know what scarce, yet convincing, details the media tells you) is the number one american sport. What the hell happened with Osama? Have you forgotten about him? He's supposedly killed your fellow americans in a vicios attack, but you've put your taliban-killing-pitchforks in the barn, because you caught this poor bastard and you finally had someone to feed to the lions. Jeez.. Sometimes i wonder if having that much power as a country is synonimous to being such a herd of sheep. Now don't get me wrong, i don't want to offend anyone directly, i'm just trying to understand why you are all so hardheaded about this. Watch some south park, loosen up, see saddam get it in the ***, but don't fight hate with hate. What good would it do if we all top each other's hate crimes? We end up dead. This is not a penis contest, who can punish the other the most, we're supposed to make this crappy world work. And if a nation as powerful as America can not control it's power and jumps from one bully-act to another, then i'm afraid we are all screwed.

my OWN opinion, which I don't expect people to agree with is Yes.
But there are more people out there that need to be put to death for their crimes.
In another question someone said about Hitler should have died the same fate. Again agree.
Look at these 'big' 'bad' men who had hundreds of thousands of innocent people killed. In the end they hid like cowards. Hitler hid and Saddam hid, in tunnels and burrows like scared little weasels.
They knew what was coming their way, and probably even knew that they deserved it.
I am sorry for anyone who is too ignorant (uneducated) to see the truth before their own eyes.
Oh my, just read this response 3 above me. If the reason they wrote this wasn't just to get thumbs down, they are very uninformed.
Does anyone know that Saddam had golden toilet seats, and riches beyond belief, while the people of his country starved to death?
Do a little research before you pretend to know anything.

The last minutes of Saddam Hussein
Saddam (as the noose is put around his neck): Ya Allah (Oh God).
Someone in the audience: Mercy be on those who pray for Mohammed and the household of Mohammed (Everyone repeats the prayer, including Saddam)
Executioner and two people in the audience: And hasten his return (the Mehdi), curse his enemy and grant victory to his son, Muqtada, Muqtada, Muqtada! (This is a common Sadrist chant.)
Saddam (smirking): Muqtada?
NSA Muwafaq Al-Rubai'i: To Hell!
Saddam: (laughing)
Prosecutor Munqidh Al-Far'awn: Please, no.
Muwafaq Al-Rubi'i: Long live Mohammed Baqir Al-Sadr!
Someone in the audience: To Hell!
Saddam (solemnly recites the Shahada prayer): I witness that there is no god but Allah, and that Mohammed is the messenger of Allah.
I witness that there is no god but Allah, and that Mohammed is the- (trap door is opened).
Audience: Prayers for Mohammed and the household of Mohammed.
Someone: The tyrant has fallen. May Allah's curse be upon him.
Someone: No. No. Stay back.
Someone: Leave him for 8 minutes. Don't take him down.
Someone: Everyone. Stay back.

Saddam merits to dangle until dying however the way US has handle the placement, I beleive it became unfair. US has no appropriate to place legs in different worldwide places footwear. they might desire to shelter their u . s ....Saddam had no purpose to break US or the human beings human beings...even US became did not discover any mass destruction weapon. as a effect , Saddam execution became justifies yet with the aid of US became not honest.

In Iraq punishment is very harsh. Change of Government is not peaceful. Invasion on Iraq was not justified as it has only complicated the situation. However, with the change of Government there was no chance for his survival in Iraq. He was tried and punished by his own people.

It is justified but not done by the right person at the right time. Bush has created more Terrorists by doing this on the Day of Festival for muslims. What has he earned by making ordinary good muslims angry? Even if they had killed him in his hole, it is OK. this is one example how Bush makes more terrorists.
