I don't think it's a question of whether you should believe her. I think it's a question of whether she should go to a doctor.
As was already mentioned, she could be pregnant even if she is using pills & condoms. Take her to the doc for an exam that will tell for sure. Even if it turns out she's not pregnant (and I hope for all of your sakes that she's not) there may be some other important health issue.

Hi there.
You know since the hormones in birth control pills (the patch and the shot) do contain many of the same hormomes as you would produce during a pregnancy, it is possible that she is using birth control.
Do you have some reason not to believe your daughter? You, of course are a better judge of that than anyone on here could be. Does she lie to you often?
You could ask her to have a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side. If she is pregnant she will want to know as soon as possible as birth control can be dangerous to the baby.
You definitely need to find out what is going on.
Good luck.

These are symptoms that could be a lot of things other than pregnancy. I know it is a slippery slope, but even the best of kids will lie in this situation. Furthermore, none of the methods she is using are 100% effective. I would approach it in that you trust she is telling you the truth, but that these methods are not 100% effective even when used properly and you are concerned that she may have fallen victim to that. Have her take a pregnancy test - you are her parent and I presume she lives under your roof.....
Good Luck.

She very well could be. you need to take her to the Dr. make an appt for a yearly. Let her go back there and talk to the Dr first.
Has she been having her periods? I was a young Mom but I never hid the fact. All you can do is take her to the Dr. Since she is underage they might tell you. Each state has diff rent laws on that kind of stuff. Good Luck.

I agree with ak-47. People get pregnant while on birth control all the time. I'd have her take a test just to be sure. When I was 17, I got pregnant while using the patch.

She might be if she's sexually active but is unlikely if she's using the contraceptives she claims to be. Her symptoms could be signs of other processes going on, so it's best to make an appointment with her doctor to discuss (and get him to include a pregnancy test as well).

Why are you letting your 17 year old have sex?
Also just because she is using them doesn't mean she can't get pregnant. I would have her take a test or take her to the doctor.

She maybe, you just need to take her to the doctor to find out for sure. Don't call her names or tell her she is lying b/c it will make her turn on you!!
Good luck!!

she could be or it could be pms. if she's on the pill then you've been to a doctor. take her to see her ob and let him tell you what's going on since she won't.
