I am a firm believer that if you can stay home with your kids and still support them comforatably then by all means that is what you should be doing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However, if not- you should get back to work. Four and a half months is a nice long time to get to be home with you new baby, most women would KILL for that opportunity. I know if it were me I would stay home as long as I could without suffering finiancially. Also you maybe dont want to get into the habit of not working for too long, it could affect your job. Your baby of course if most important, but if you cannot afford to care for your child you arent taking very good care of him/her. The choice is yours, and like they say- moms know best!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes. Unless you have extenuating circumstances that keep you at home, I say get back out there. I will tell you from experience that the longer you are away, the harder it is overall to get back into the swing of things at work. Also, quality time will diminish with your baby. I know that sound terrible, but it really might. If you have enjoyed working in the past, get back to it. If you didn't like it at all, you may find the home is better for you, if you can swing it. Good Lcuk.

it all depends on you and your spouse/partner. If you are finacially stable without you working then you could definitly stay an extra two months. Now if it is outside of the allowed amount of time with your job, you may need a dr note to extend your leave of absence, but there shouldn't be any other problems.

if you can afford it the longer you can stay home and take care of the baby the better it will be for the both of you. Do you have someone capable of babysitting.

It's never too long to spend time with your lil one. As long as there's no problems with your work and you can afford it, it should be fine!

I think you should stay off work until your kid is 18 or work only when he/she or in school.
