Memories are a large part of what makes you, you. The good, the bad and the ugly. All are a critical part of your makeup. If you could truly forget all the "undesirable" things from your past, you would not be the person you are today. Many of the memories you are concerned about are the ones that allow you to survive.
In short, you don't play with fire because at one time in your life you were burned.
Take all those memories, learn from them and relegate them to that pile of "stuff" you call personality.

Short of causing brain damage? Nothing. You can't forget them, the only thing you can do is learn to accept them as a part of you, learn from them, and move on to make happier ones.

some things you may never forget but it is aways a good idea to try .talking to someone like a friend you can trust or counselor my mom is a family counselor and she aways told me that as a child

Replace them with good, positive, happy ones. No, it's not going to be easy, but alittle input everyday works wonders. Also DO things to occupy your time and thoughts. It will get better.

you can't foget bad mermories b/c they just stay in your head yea you might not think about it sometimes but it is stil there so you just have to learn to deal with the matter of it being in the past. and you need to look to the future.
