I had some misdemeanor violations, but more than 10 years ago. Now I am looking for a job and would like to know if prospective employers can see those records.

Depends on what state you're in. You can type "Wisconsin circuit court access" into yahoo search engine to get results from WI. Illinois doesn't have it online. Anyone can go to the county court house and request anyone else's criminal history in that county, though there may be a fee.

If your employers look for the info, they can find it. No use worrying about it, because there is nothing you can do to make that information go away.
