When I felt my baby kick in the ultrasound room it was more than bliss. I didn't want him from the day I found out till that day because I knew what the father would be like, (and I was right) but when I felt him kick I felt this feeling that was indescribable.It was better than bliss. So actually the feeling that was the closest to bliss without getting to bliss would have to be when I stepped off the air plane in Barbados when I was 18 years old. I was born there and had gone back before but now I was going there on my own as an adult(or so I thought I was).I was happy to be home. My true home.

Lying on a floating platform one late afternoon, about 150 feet from shore, in the Mediterranean in the middle of summer, feeling that warm, warm air and dangling one arm in the warm, warm water. I could just turn my head and see the palm trees along the shoreline, and I could hear faintly some Italian music playing over somebody's radio, back on the beach.
The sun sets early there, and it was already hanging low in the sky casting a long path of orange reflection across the surface of the water, right where I lay. I had absolutely nothing in the world to worry about but what I was going to wear when I went out tonight, to dine and dance under a sky loaded with stars, at one of those rooftop, open-air restaurants. It would be the perfect ending to another perfect day, and I remember wishing I could catch it in a bottle. I suppose in a way I did capture it, because I can bring it out of my memory whenever I want to, and live it all over again, complete with all the sights and sounds, feels and smells of a very special, totally blissful moment in time.

From the ages of 16 to 19 I was in total bliss. I was skinny had 3 boy friends I worked went to school. I paid no bills went to parties every weekend did I mention I was skinny? I ate what ever I wanted was just care free. Ha!!! I'm in bliss now just thinking about it.

When it was just me and my kids. I had a great house, credit cards, my car was paid for, I had a great job, the best friends, everything we needed. I gave it all up (except the kids) for a guy. I beat myself up,even more than he did, for doing that.
