Or is age just a number and depends on the mentality of the person and is a relative thing ?? I hope you all can understand what I mean.

i'd say there are many things you want to consider... if you're gay, the opinion probably is that guys over 40 are old... if you're straight, most women think a man becomes more attractive with every wrinkle they got...
if you mean the connection between physical and mental age i'd say you can easily change your physical appearance by being mentally active, not to be mixed up with mid-life-crisis-crap... keep mentally up to date and you will be seen as physically good looking...keeping in good shape will help too...

A man is just what his age says to him.

If you feel older, you can bask in the wisdom that you know have so much more knowledge than "those yuppies", who don't have a clue of what life is about.

You have the ability to change, and that means improve your wisdom, body by exercising, and your mind by getting more education, and spiritual development- only now you get to decide which has priority in your life.

They say 40 is the new 30
50 is the new 40
60 is the new 50
70 is the new 60
80 is the new 60............
and so forth. Now we have technology, and online education to reach whatever choices to help us become better human beings.

At 40, in my opinion, a man is just starting to think of himself as handsome, worthwhile, developed in many respects, responsible, found as to his place in life, has lifelong friends, and a real appreciation for his relations and his loving family.
At 40, a man if he doesn't have those things, can make developmental strides to become whatever he wishes and needs, as long as he wants to work for it.

You have a right to a Rocking Loving Relationship - and that starts with appreciation of yourself and your attributes.

Keep on Rockin!

GOD bless us one and all, always.

Old to younger people, young to older people. As some mentioned, some people act old, others act their age, and others act much younger. I can name several celebrities that defie their age not so much by their looks but by the way they act--Tom Cruise is in his mid forties, Kirstie Alley is in her mid fifties, for example, and neither looks or acts near their physical age. You are as young as you feel is a good saying, it is true. Some older people that look old to most, don't act like it and live life to the fullest. Phyllis Diller is finally slowing down, since her advanced age is finally getting to her, but at 89 she has two movies in production! Bob Hope did his shows until 93 or 94 at least and really didn't slow down until about 95. Hope I can do as well.

It's sometimes a matter of attitude. I am 69 and going strong. He may need to see his doctor to get some much needed professional advice. People on this site are not trained or qualified to do so. Good luck.

Yeah; I'm right there with Slappy McStretch. I'm 43; full head of hair; in better shape than ever & getting hits left & right! I feel like I'm in my prime here, dude!
I've got straight women & gay men hitting on me; pinching my butt; making offers; asking for massages...so, you tell me!
