Take a vitamin supplement every day with folic acid in it as this is supposed to help eliminate birth defects.!!! Just eat healthy foods, exercise and no alcohol in case you get pregnant and dont know yet.

Sounds like you have some pretty good habits already. Keeping closer to your ideal weight is good also because being overweight can contribute to infertility issues.

You might want to cut down on the pop because too much sugar can set you up for gestational diabetes. If the pop you are drinking has caffeine, definitely cut that out. Caffeine is not good when you are pregnant. You'll also want to get in the habit of drinking a lot of water. You will need to take in additional fluids when you are pregnant and you will most likely retain a lot of water towards the end of your pregnancy. Drinking plenty of water will help flush out some of that.

Make sure to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. You will need the nutrients and fiber in them while pregnant.

Prenatal vitamins are good to take when ttc because the folic acid in them is so important in early fetal development - especially the 2 weeks before you even know you're pregnant. Orange juice, spinach and whole grains are a good source of folic acid as well.

Exercise is good too because it will help keep your energy level up when you become pregnant and will help ease your pregnancy, delivery and recovery.

Good luck.

Prenatal pills will help. Eat a lot of protein and dairy products for calcium. Spinach and other leafy greens. Lots of fruits and vegetables. Don't forget the fiber. Use low fat yogurts, milk and cheese. Try starting an exercise regime to strengthen your abs and lower back. A daily walk will also be good.

First and foremost, see your ob-gyny to make sure everything is okay, and to get his best advice. Good luck.

It sounds like your on the right track. If you are overweight it can put you at risk for gestational diabetes and other possible problems, so you should probably cut out the sodas especially if they are caffinated cause that would be bad for baby when you do get pregnant. Just start walking, and eating better.

no alcohol, no nicotin, eat healthy, fiber, protein, less fat, take vitamins, basically they say do what you would do if you were already pregnant and treat your body accordingly
