Kiswani can obviously not read (free programs) and is also obvioulsy an idiot (since Symantec Anti-Virus is bloated garbage software).
Use these:
AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition
Ad-Aware SE Free Edition
Crap Cleaner
Mozilla Firefox
Pop-Up Stopper Free Edition

You will get many different opinions on the best firewall and antivirus. It really ends up being a personal preference. That said, I like a firewall from Comodo.
The only firewall that doesn't leak
Unfortunately, most firewalls leak. But Comodo's Firewall is unique in that it passes all known leak tests to ensure the integrity of data entering and exiting your system. Comodo has put firewall through all kinds of sophisticated tests to ensure its firewall powerful enough to ward off these attacks with default settings. No other firewall has had to work this hard. Take this test yourself.

For your anti-virus I will give you a link to read some more about it.

Well you are half way there.
Anti-vir is an excellent anti-virus, great virus detection rates and the best heuristic detection in the business. But what is your firewall? Are you using one, I hope.
An excellent free and very strong firewall is Comodo Personal Firewall. It can pass firewall "leak tests" that even most of the "paid-for" firewalls cannot pass.
And Comodo has a great support forum. Where the CEO / President of the company (Melih) might even himself answer your question! Check it out at:

------------------------------------
Or if you prefer a good and free firewall that is extremely easy on using your computers system resources, then Kerio 2.1.5 is just about the lightest firewall there is. Uses about 4 MB RAM on my machine.
Although it is no longer officially supported by the makers of Kerio, there is a great Kerio 2.1.5 support forum at
http://www.dslreports.com/forum/kerio
to help and guide you if you have any problems.
2.1.5 is availible for free at:

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.
i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.
besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.
download firefox for free, Just have a try:
