I heard that when you ahve a lucid dream, you can do wahtever you want in that dream and not wake up.
Well I think I had a lucid dream last night. I was able to go in and out of different dreams as I saw fit, I knew all along that I was dreaming, but I kept telling everybody in my dream that I am dreaming this, and I showed them how I could do supernatural things etc. It was a real kewl experience I msut say. I have been high before, but this was a different feeling all together.

Just want to know if lucid dreams are like this?

Lucid dreaming is the conscious perception of one's state while dreaming, resulting in a much clearer ("lucid") experience and sometimes enabling direct control over the content of the dream.[1] The complete experience from start to finish is called a lucid dream. Stephen LaBerge, a popular author and experimenter on the subject, has defined it as "dreaming while knowing that you are dreaming."[2]

LaBerge and his associates have called people who purposely explore the possibilities of lucid dreaming oneironauts (literally from the Greek ονειροναύτες, meaning "dream sailors"). The topic attracts the attention of a diverse and eclectic group: psychologists, self-help authors, New Age groups, mystics, occultists, ufologists and artists. This list is by no means exhaustive nor does interest in lucid dreaming apply necessarily to each group.

The validity of lucid dreaming as a scientifically verified phenomenon is well-established [3]. It may be classified as a protoscience, pending an increase in scientific knowledge about the subject. Researchers such as Allan Hobson with his neurophysiological approach to dreaming have helped to push the understanding of lucid dreaming into a less speculative realm.

So according to that definition, I would say, yes, you did have a lucid dream.

Yeah, some are.
Lucid dreaming is simply knowing you're dreaming while you are dreaming.
I've had several lucid dreams where I was telling dream characters that they didn't exist. I have yet to come across someone who agrees with me; I'm waiting though. I can't always control everything in mine no matter how much I know I'm dreaming. That's cool you changed you're dream scene. I've wanted to do that but never have and stayed lucid. I know exactly what you mean about the different feeling. If lucid dreaming were easier to induce, I doubt as many people would mess with drugs.
Oh and you said you can do whatever you want and not wake up- that's not always so....so Waking up is very common when people realize they're dreaming. I didn't wake at first but did other times. Btw, incase you do realize you're waking up, spinning around like a top is a common way to stay in the dream. Of course this won't help if someone or something is waking you up. Only thing I can say is to try kicking hard while you're spinning around and maybe you'll be left alone. =)
