I play horn and disagree with the guy above me, I personally think Yamaha manufactures and overpriced hunk of metal. Get urself a Holton 179 (i think these run from $2500 -3200 depending on where u get it) or a Conn 8D (don't know about the price) Holton and Conn are the only US manufactured brands I would recommend. However if you want an expensive European horn Paxman and Alexander made excellent horns.

Yamaha would probably be the best.
