First gun made in America
Colt firearms

First gun brought to America
Blunderbuss (brought by the first Virginia settlers)
Arquebus (brought by the Spanish Conquistador's to Florida)

Due to the general unreliability of these weapons it was still considered prudent to carry a 'blade' of some sort.

Any gun that came over in the 16th and 17th centuries by explorers settlers or the like would have been the first made in America as there were Gunsmiths with each colony but if I had to say I would say the Spanish Arquebus or the hackbutt as the English called it that would also be the first gun brought over because it was in use in the 1500's the time of Spanish Conquests.

The first gun in North America probably came over with Columbus or whichever european was actually first here. As for the first gun made, that's impossible to answer. By the time of the American revolution, there were numerous gunmakers (see the site referenced). These were all basically skilled blacksmiths who made frontloading muskets.
