She took time off to be with her family but has one movie coming out this year "I Could Never Be Your Woman", two movies in post-production that should come out this year: "Stardust and "Hairspray" and is talks for being in a movie called "Chasing Montana")
It is not true she has not been offerred acting roles in recent years; actually she turned down the role of the White Witch in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005); she was the only major Hollywood star offered the role.
