The church shouldn't get involved with politics. The church itself has too many contradictions and scandals already.
And i dont care what anybody says, I'm not following the directions of no Pope!

The Church is politics, always has been. Archbishops and Bishops sit in the House of Lords (wasn't Blair meant to abolish that btw?) The Queen is Head of State and at the sam time Head of the Church of England, etc.
Supposing an MP got arrested while protesting about something you agreed with ? Supposing the MP was wrongly arrested ? Hard to enforce, that one.

If your questions is directed towards UK and at the Church of England, you should be aware that it is the State religion of England and very much involved in politics. The bishops of the Church of England are also members of the House of Lords. The Church of England is as much political as it is religious.
The non-conformists churches in England, Wales and Scotland, are very much involved in politics. It has often been said for example, that the Labour Party owes more to the Methodist Church than it does to Karl Marx.

If the Government wishes to impose its own moral outlook and lifestyles on everyone else then I don't see why the Church shouldn't play tit for tat

yes,the reason is because politics never before interfeared with religous beliefe , but now they want to force christians to reject the word of god in favour of the desires of the homosexual. this is politics interfearing with religeon. this has never happened before, but i would prefere religous people to have a political party
of their own that way the churches wont be in the thick of it but members would.
