Relax Sweetie, you are doing fine.
Double check with the doctor about the meds.
If you can do without them then do.
It is normal for her to sleep a lot!
She is eating at perfect intervals, but be careful about the formula. Supplementing with formula completely messed up my ability to nurse my baby. Your child is certainly getting what she needs (and a far superior product) from the breatmilk! Don't let it 'scare' you that you can't see it and measure it going into her. Just nurse as often as she is hungry. This in inconvient for you, but it is what has been proven best for your child. If I had it to do over, and if I were you, I would nurse longer and more frequently and throw the darned formula away! It is perfectly fine if she is still a little hungry after you nurse. This is part of nature. It will cause her to nurse more often and then your body will listen to the demands of the baby and it will make more milk for her. The formula can mess up your breatfeeding just like it did mine. It works like this: It is easier for the baby to nurse a bottle so they begin to prefer it even though it is far less of what they need than the breastmilk is. (Formula is almost like junk food when compared to breastmilk.) So, baby prefers it and nurses more from the bottle and less from the breast. Your body gets the signal "make less milk" and the next thing you know your aren't even making enough milk for your baby anymore. Now you think you need to give her more formula! Soon she is getting all formula and no breastmilk. It happened to me. Remember the more formula they eat the less they nurse; the less they nurse the less milk you produce. This could start a downward spiral of you making less milk and her eating more formula.
On the other hand the more she nurses, the more milk your body will make for her. If you ditch the formula you should soon be able to satisfy her growning needs.
You need to study this important job of "mom". I would pick up a book called "What to expect the First Year" if I were you. And subscribe to "American Baby" at americanbaby.com. It is a great magazine that you should be able to subscribe to for free!
Good luck and blessings dearling!

IF DOC B is a doctor he's got a miserable bed side manner!!! To answer yor question, You really shouldn't take any kind of drug when breastfeeding because it does enter the milk, and that is most likely why she is sleeping so much stop taking it and see the change. As far as the the baby's bowel movements go It is normal for a new born to have one during a feeding ,because feeding stimulates the digestive tract causing a bowel movement, and it will be runny because she is not eating solid food. YOU ARE DOING FINE >IF YOU WERE A BAD MOTHER YOU WOULD HAVE NEVER BOTHERED TO ASK > YOUR A GOOD PARENT

Everything your baby is doing is normal so dont stress.
If your baby is only nursing for 20min and is still hungry you should keep nursing...try 20min on each side. And when she nurses make sure she stays on the same breast for 20min so that she gets the hind milk...which has the most fat and nutrients and will keep her fuller longer.
As for the meds....I was offered those meds as well...along with Percocet after delivery and my dr knew I was nursing so they are completely safe and will not harm your baby if you take them like your supposed to.
Your baby is gonna poo alot for the first week or so, then it will slow down to about 4-6x a day. The waking every 3-5 hrs is actually great! Most breastfed babies wake up every 2-3hrs to eat, so your getting a break!

Tylenol is totally secure collectively as breastfeeding. Many examine have been carried out that tutor this. it is not uncommon for a 5 day previous to be sleepy. My advice is which you get rid of all her clothing (different than diaper) previous to feeding her. place her against your skin to nurse. Your physique will shelter her physique temperature, yet being bare will shop her greater unsleeping to get a competent feeding. as far as your incisional soreness is going...my experience as a postpartum nurse is that motrin (600mg) each 6 hours is often noticeably effectual while you're helpful to take it always, in case you wait until the soreness turns into insupportable until now taking the med back, it incredibly is a lot greater complicated to regulate the soreness. employing a sitz tub countless cases/day can be useful. i might attempt again off the oxycodone if attainable. Narcotics are constipating...and that's no relaxing! good success!

Whatever you eat will end up in the breast milk and subsequently in the baby when you breastfeed . Depending on how bad the pain is that you still have to endure , you make a choice . Take the medic ine and forget the breastfeeding, or suffer and feed your baby by nursing .
My choice would be to take the medicine and be a calmer, happier mother .
She sounds like a normal infant otherwise . Don't fret so much. You are doing great .

I don't think that the doc would have given you anything unsafe for you and your baby while breastfeeding. Baby's like to eat a lot, so I don't think your doing anything wrong. The diarrhea is normal. I know because that was a concern for me with my 10 week old and his dc said its perfectly normal and healthy. You may want to talk to your pediatrician about the milk in take for the baby, but don't stress over it. With formula you have back up and your baby will not starve!

Call you pediatrician and ask him what the effects are on your baby. I would think that the prescribing doctor knew you were breastfeeding and that the medicines were safe. If I were you I would try not to take any meds unless really needed.Any thing you take or eat will pass through the breast milk. Nursing babies poop constantly. I would always wait to change my kids until they were done eating and burped. Call your Dr.

You cannot take Vicodin and Motrin and nurse. Hydrocodone could kill your baby. Did the doctor know you planned to nurse?
