well, all i can say is that i'm sorry for you, and next time when you bump into a free download website, you should think twice before giving your information :)

I did a similar thing, although I think it was about £15 I coughed up. As soon as I`d downloaded it I got a msg.saying if i payed for this I should contact the FBI as I`d been scammed. Since I`m English I just put it down to being a bit green as far as Computers are concerned

Rather than closing and opening bank accounts, you should have reported them for fraud. Banks do not take this lightly.
Contact you bank again, and explain in detail why you closed the first account and opened a new one.
Dispute any and all charges. If you indeed did not give permission for withdrawals, your money should be replaced.
If you did agree, you have little chance of getting your money back. Be careful and read everything from hereon in.

why did you give your cc details to a free site in the first place? there is a saying a lesson learned is an expensive one. http://www.limewire.com/ is the most used free file sharing site. make sure you have anti virus running before swapping any files. the free edition of avg available from http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ does a good job. once you have installed limewire do a search for limewire pro. then install this and delete the original. pro is faster.

Always read the terms & conditions of any site that offers you 'free' music then asks you to enter in any sensitive information.

sue the company who did this. they don't have a right and things very many things are free. they scammed you and they did it good sue them for allot of money. don't even try contacting the company's just talk somebody that can help you with this. what the company's did was highly illegal and you can get them for this.

Well I never! You wanted music for nothing and got screwed maybe you'll learn from it. It says at the bottom that their software doesn't mean legal P2P downloading!

Nothing in life is free, kid.
Why did you give a "free" website your account information? Didn't that seem a little odd to you?
