I feel it is up to the individual to decided and they should not be judged by others whatever their decision.
I myself have had an abortion. At the time my partner (now my husband) and I felt we had no other option. I had taken the morning after pill and unfortunately for me it failed to work. We had just moved into our first house, which was a one bed, and there was no possible way we could afford to move so soon.
The decision was not taken lightly and it was an awful experience to go through. It was certainly not the 'easy option'. Far from it in fact. We were not prepared to bring a child into the world when we were unable to prove for it.
If some of you out there still think we were wrong, then so be it, but none of us are perfect are we!

You think your own question through!
If you think birth control and abortion are the same, you are terribly misinformed.
Birth control keeps the egg from ever dropping to get fertilized to begin with... no fertilization, no pregnancy
Abortion is killing an embryo, sometimes even a fetus (which by the way, is the Latin word for infant.) At the point of conception, the embryo begins to change and grow, which means it is a life. Abortion is taking away that life.
What right do we have to decided what baby lives and what baby dies?
There is no comparison between birth control and abortion...
By the way, love, do you believe in the death penalty? I bet you don't........

Personally, I am pro-choice. I think a woman should have the right. The problem with it all, is the right is abused, people are using it as a form of birth control. There is no medical reason, no rape they just were lazy and don't want the responsibility of a child. They murder their children because it is easier for them, they are selfish. There are certain situations where it should be done-but that's only if every other option has been used or gone over.
I would personally not have one ever unless my life was in jeopardy. But if it wasn't misused it wouldn't be such a big issue

I believe it is for the same reason that we have a problem with other killing of people. When you take birth control, you keep from creating a life - when you have an abortion you take a life that did nothing to you - no different than if you went up to the person in McDonalds that was holding up the line and shot them. Many people believe that your irresponsibility should not result in death of another - I tend to agree. That being said - I think that each should choose thier own path after thought and consideration - my job is not to judge no more than yours is.

It's a religion issue for me-I'm a Christian, and it would be showing a Lack of Faith to have an abortion JUST because I ddint want to keep my child. Now,within certain circumstances, in my opinion, it is justifiable to terminate a pregnancy (e.i. the baby has a terminal illness or will be very ill, etc) I do believe that our Father God will not hold us accountable for "death or Murder". To have an abortion just because one and/or one's family is not ready to have this child is not right. For instance, my baby's father ( im 5 mos along) was terrible in the beginning of our pregnancy. So bad to the point that I made an appointment to the have an abortion. I had to realize that it wasn't my decision to end my baby's life, just because i was "afraid" that he wouldnt have what he needed the most ( love from his father)...It wasnt my call, and i stepped out on faith and believed that God would work it out. He has. I'm pregnant. I'm happy. Yeah, women in america has the "right" by law to have an abortion, but they do not have the right to control or interfere with God's plan.
And to address your birth control concern- bc is the prevention of pregnancy, and abortion is killing. Point blank. Abortion is not a form of birth control. Practicing bc is responsible.

birth control is the same as having a period every week. but with abortion, the child is already ionside you, growing and aging, preparing to ebter the world.
don't you realize you are killing a child?!
it's the same as having a child, and then killing it. can you imagine stabbing your own baby??
think about it! it's murder!
who cares if it makes your life a little harder, a little more complex, at least you don't have to live with the idea that you killed you child!
and in some cases, it doesn't even work, and the child comes out deformed!
abortion is murder, and im am so against it.
*fumes with anger*
how can you even say what you did?!

Lets see. Yes, it is skin off of some potential child's back. If you saw a child get beat in public, would you call CPS or would you just walk away? I think you'd try your best to help that child out.
Your arguments don't make sense. You're putting apples and oranges together. People get on birth control, so they don't get pregnant, and therefore don't need to get an abortion.
The fetus living inside of a person has the potential of being a child. An unfertilized egg is NOT a fetus! Therefore, NOT a potential child.
I'm pro-choice. I realize the pro-life has some very convincing points. Why can't you just accept everyone is entitled to their own opinion? Why re-hash this almost every other day?
You asked us; "Why can't people accept the fact that woman have the right to have an abortion?"
I'm asking you; "Why can't people accept the fact that everyone is entitled to their own opinion?" I mean really, what difference does it make to you? Abortion is legal. (PERIOD) It's not like there is an actual law being placed to reverse Roe VS. Wade! Save your arguments for something that matters.

Who lied to you and told you it was one of your "rights" ? Your rights only extend as far as that no one else is affected and abortion does kill another living being. The government tells you have much income you must turn over to them, how fast you may drive, and that you may not litter. Why shouldn't they also tell you that you may not end a life? I created life 3 times, they are now teenagers and believe me, sometimes I would like to snuff 'em out, but I have no more right to do that you have to end a life that is just beginning.

Because some day every doctor who ever performed an abortion will stand at the white throne judgement as a killer and have to explain to God wh he/she killed an unborn child. So too will those choosing to have one. Think about it, save a life and live or kill and not live. ....
