I'm looking for a nice moisturiser that can be found in high street shops and is cheap. I used to have oily skin I thought, but now it seems to be more drier. I don't know whether I now have combination skin, but my cheeks seem to be kind of sensitive, my last cream gace me dry patches on my cheeks. Can anyone help?

I would suggest Dermalogica, the best most researched skin care there is http://www.dermalogica.com But if you want something cheap go for Oil of Ulay Regenerative I was reading recently that it's really good and some of the celebs are using it. Drink plenty of water to, eat oily fish, but if you don't like eating oily fish then take omega vitamin capsules or cod liver oil capsules. Incidentally. the first answerer has a point about healthy food BUT skin care products do work, you can use both in conjunction each each other. The thing food WON'T correct or prevent, is damage from the sun, all skin products usually contain an SPF 15 or above, healthy foods can't repair collagen which is what gets broken down as you get older, lines and wrinkles aren't just about oil on the face or increasing oil in your diet. Most anti aging creams now days contain collagen boosting products. Dermalogica would be good for you because you have combination patchy skin. Dermalogica works by using a skin mappimg system, which makes sense really because different areas of your face have different needs. Good luck

Drink plenty of water, a balanced diet including fresh fruit and vegetables, Vitamin B and essential oils such as you get from oily fish like mackerel.

If you do all that and keep those chemicals off your skin I guarantee your skin will adjust to normal and won't have dry patches, be excessively oily etc etc and you'll have the added bonus of being healthier.

Alternatively you could just keep slapping that stuff all over your face making your skin more and more dependent on some chemical made in a factory for profit and less and less capable of adjusting itself the way nature intended.

I don't know about how cheap is cheap for you. Olay - the day moisturizer, is great for the face...no matter what your skin type, it keeps it very balanced and is fast absorbing. It comes in a little pot. Jergens is good for the body. The driest skin feels nourished. Also try avoiding harsh soaps in the shower. Stick to moisturizing ones like Olay or Lever 2000 and any good ones you know or are recommended.

First of all your skin can be oily and dehydreated in the same time.
So what you need to start with is drinking plenty of water. 1 galon a day is recommended amount of water.
If you perform any physical activities than drink fitness water like powerade or gatorade. I prefer Propel since it doesn't have any food dye in it.
Don't try to substitute regular water with fitness water. It contains a lot of sodium that will rase your blood pressure and can be a culprite of kidney stones.

Now about your skin. I have combination skin but during the winter time it's very dehydrated. So you need something that won't make your oily parts greesier and hydrate you in the same time.
My favorite products are Yves Rocher. I use this cosmetic for about 9 years and very please with results. Unfortunatelly we don't have stores in US but you can purchase everything online and they even can give you 3 months credit.
Go on www.yvesrocherusa.com
skin care: dehydrated
I use the entire system in the winter time and it works pretty good for me, like
Tonic Cleanser for Dehydrated skin. A gentle, refreshing cleanser for petal-soft skin that's perfectly clean and quenched with moisture. Botanical Osmolytes reactivate the natural water reserves of skin, helping to keep your skin looking soft, radiant and healthy.
Tonic Water Mist for Dehydrated skin (this one I carry around in my purse and spray in the office over my face and neck when I feel like airconditioning really dryed my skin). Extremely fresh, like water, just one spray is all you need to to refresh, tone, and hydrate skin after cleansing. Botanical Osmolytes reactivate the skin's moisture reserves so that skin stays hydrated throughout the day.
Hydra Power Day Cream for Dehydrated Skin. Botanical Osmolytes reactivate the skin's moisture reserves so that skin stays hydrated throughout the day. A daily cream with intense and deep rehydrating power, for skin that's fresh, comfortable and petal-soft.

SOS Intensive Moisture Mask. I usually use this mask 3 times a week. It helps a lot.If your skin is feeling parched, treat it to the quenching moisture of this replenishing, plumping mask. Enriched with Botanical Osmolytes with proven power to rehydrate cells, it leaves your complexion deeply refreshed and resilient.

Good luck :)
