If you have a wireless card and happen to luck out and be in the vicinity of someone else's wireless network they were too dumb to lock up, then you could leech off of theirs; however, that is not only pretty prickish, but could also be illegal depending on where you are.

So... you're screwed. You need some sort of internet, which would mean getting Cable, DSL, or Dial-up (Which you REALLY won't want this day in age unless you are depserate and only use internet for e-mail.)

A wireless connection will only work if you have a wireless router connected to an active internet connection.

without phone or any other isp I don't think you will be able to get internet. If your laptop has a wireless card you could use the wireless network connection option to see if there are any open networks in range, meaning you would be using someone elses internet connection but that looks like your only option.

The only way you will be able to receive the Internet is if someone is lives close enough that has a wireless system and it is not secured and sends a strong enough single.

If you do this it would not be ethical and I would find the person or persons and offer to share in some of the cost. It does not seem fair for those who do pay honestly and others to jump on for free and not care.

If this is not the case then you will have to acquire the items the you don't have to become connected to the net.

Unfortunately, if you don't have/want cable or phone lines in your house, your only option is cell phone which will be cost prohibitive. If there is a wireless signal in the immediate area, and you can figure out who has it, AND they are willing to let you use it (and I don't know the legal ramifications of it) you could get a wireless card and use that network. They make a wireless signal finder for that purpose. Google it up. Good luck!

If someone else has an open wireless connection nearby, then you may be able to use it, but you need to get that person's permission first.

Otherwise, get a cellular system. Your cell provider will give you a special card to slide into your machine, that will let it get online through the cell towers.

its simple and yes you can do this. go to verizon if theres one near you. if not you could go to verizon.com but right now they are changing there look and design. i have looked for a link to give you but i have looked at verizon (there website) and it looks like i cant find it. so it seems that part of the website is down and being changed. your best bet is to go to a store of verizon. what they have is wireless DSL through there cell phone towers. depending on where you live is depending on if they will have it where you live. they have it in most places in the usa so it shouldn't be a problem. but like i said call or check up on verizon. they can get you set up with no problem what so ever.

hope this answers your question

the only way to get wireless without cable or phoneline is to go through a cell phone service provider, check with your current provider for availability...if its not available then you can't get it.
