Now i am not talking life sized aliens like on the tv shows and movies but i am talkin about bacteria like our planet started we have not heard anything about this and i want to be an astronamer when i grow up i am 14 and a sophmore in high school I think the Government is trying to hide stuff from us just to see what we believe in and if there were life sized aliens out there I think they would already try to attack or become our friends i saw something fly by out of the corner of my telescope but dont belive that it was an alien space ship it may have been a fire fly or something wiered i just want to know what every one thinks about alien life beieng out there and if you know how old mars is because it is the only planet that is belived to have alien life because earth is about 4.6 billion years old and we have only had life for 3.6 million years and humans have been around for a few thousand so cant life be like that on a different planet i love conspirecies

Probably the most likely place to have life in our solar system (other than Earth) is a moon of Jupiter call Europa.

Europa is a moon covered in water ice. There is overwhelming evidence that under this solid ice shell is a sea of liquid water, it is kept liquid so far from the sun by the gravitational stretching and squeezing of Jupiter. The same effect on Io the moon nearest Jupiter causes it to be covered in very active volcanoes!

So under the Ice could be whole ecosystems of life in water kept warm by Jupiter.

Another candidate is Titan a moon of Saturn which has a thick atmosphere and organic compounds which we know little about how they would form on titan, (we would take them as signs of life on our own planet)... worth a visit with a probe or two me thinks (Cassini-Huygens, see sources)

We're just now discovering planets in other solar systems. I don't think our technology is up to snuff to detect anything other than ourselves at this time. If there were aliens, we'd never know, since they'd be much more intelligent than we can imagine. How hard would it be for a chimp to convince others of humans?
We may not even know what "life" is like on other planets. Life is really just a complicated manner for self-replicating molecules to reproduce themselves.
The answer is: we're too primitive to know the answer right now.

No Its just Imaginary. And the movies are based upon Imaginary storeis. The humans are the best of creations. There are possibilities that science may find life on other planets but Aliens ? No way. No such thing has been proved yet by Science.

the government does hide alot of things from us yes,its due to the fact that they cant control everything,as much as they would like to.if there are aliens, more advanced than us then they probably keep there distance considering MAN tends to destroy everything he touches.and who is to say that a species didnt evolve somewhere in our oceans, there is more water than land and underwater ufo,s have been spotted for centuries.i believe in science more than creation, but science in my opinion doesnt even begin to explain everything.

not to sound mean but dont u think of the whole galaxy as a waste of space if it were only us? did u ever think of systems just like ours? with planets just like ours with the same living conditions? or maybe other lifeforms that are so much on a different level biologicly that they can survive on different enviorments? food for thought.

So far we have not detected any life outside the earth. If you want to go into astronomy, you'd better start trusting facts and forget about conspiracies.
